☕ 🇯🇵 Coffee Omakase at Fuglen in Japan: A Masterclass in Customer Experience

⭐☕ Starbucks' CEO Brian Niccol is betting on quality over quantity and might be on to something.

🚫🥤The company is reducing take-out orders in order to go back to the roots and convert Starbucks into #ThirdPlaces that invite to linger and savor a steaming hot cup of coffee out of real porcelain mugs. 🛋️☕

🇯🇵☕I had the opportunity to experience a unique #Omakase #CoffeeTasting experience in Tokyo, Japan at FUGLEN Sangubashi.

🇳🇴The coffee company, focusing on high-end light roasted coffee (not espresso) was founded in 1963 in Oslo, Norway and has expanded since 2012 to five locations in Japan 🗾

🌟Plus one very special location in the residential Tokyo-neighborhood of Sangubashi, where I had the opportunity to experience a personalized coffee tasting experience with a passionate and experienced barista that attended to my every need during the one-hour tasting.

🈺The experience included two very labor intense coffee preparations (Hand Drip Coffee and Kokekaffe).

⚙️🫘Everything was prepared from scratch, starting with hand-grinding the beans and served alongside with 2 snacks 🍡

My barista tended to my every need and explained the process with his extensive knowledge.

💴The cost of a 60-minute high quality coffee tasting experience you ask?

JPY 2,780 (or USD 18.36)
